Artist marketplace terms

Rules for listing designs, taking bookings, and participating on Nicenails as a nail artist or studio member. In-app customer payments may be disabled during early phases; that does not remove your responsibility to honour confirmed bookings and comply with law.

Legal entity (“we”, “us”): Built.JS Ltd, New Zealand.

1. Who must accept this

By selecting the artist role in the app and accepting these terms (or by continuing to offer services on Nice Nails after we notify you of an update), you agree to this document as an independent seller on the platform. You are not our employee, agent, or franchisee unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

2. Relationship with customers

When a customer books with you throughNicenails, the service contract for the nail service is between you and the customer, subject to your own salon policies and New Zealand consumer law. We provide the software and marketplace infrastructure; we are not the nail technician performing the service unless we explicitly say so in writing.

You are responsible for GST, income tax, employment obligations for your own staff, and any licences or professional requirements that apply to your work.

3. Listings, designs, and intellectual property

4. Availability, bookings, and conduct

5. Payments

The app may allow bookings where payment is arranged outside theNicenails payment flow (for example in person at the appointment). You remain solely responsible for collecting payment, issuing receipts if required, and handling refunds or disputes for amounts you collect, unless and until we enable in-app payments and the product clearly states otherwise.

6. Reviews

Customers may be invited to leave reviews after visits. You must not manipulate reviews (for example by paying for fake reviews or coercing customers). We may remove reviews that violate our policies or applicable law. Review eligibility rules in the app form part of how the marketplace operates.

7. Studios

If you join or create a studio onNicenails, you agree that studio owners or admins may manage certain profile or listing settings according to the product’s permissions. You remain responsible for your own conduct and compliance with these artist terms unless a separate studio agreement governs your relationship with the studio brand.

8. Data

Your use of customer and booking data must follow our Privacy Policy and New Zealand privacy law. Use data only to fulfil and support bookings you receive throughNicenails, unless the customer clearly agrees otherwise.

9. Our role and limits

We aim to keep the service reliable and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, our liability to you for the marketplace service is limited as set out in our Terms of Service.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or remove your account or listings if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, the Terms of Service, or law, or if continued presence risks harm to customers or the platform. Where practicable we will give notice; serious cases may warrant immediate suspension.

Users may report content or conduct to info@nicenailsapp.com (and through in-app reporting where available). We may investigate reports with automated and manual moderation and may issue warnings, remove listings, suspend access, permanently block accounts, or refer matters to regulators/law enforcement where legally required.

11. Changes

We may update these artist marketplace terms. We will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may require renewed acceptance in the app where the product supports it.
